Double-crossed!

Its agonizing - to sacrifice your ego and differences for adjusting with someone only to be taken advantage of by them. Betrayed, backstabbed. Its a mixture of disgust, pity and nevertheless - apathy. When they snatch an opportunity that you truly deserved by backstabbing you and above all, get humiliated when they use it. You stand and look at them, awestruck. You feel like being earnest meant being weak.
But its ironic that they backstab you for something you thought wasn't even worth thinking about and for them it was worth draining you.
And the worst part, knowing everything, they walk upto you expecting the same sincerity.
But what do you do? You give them a hateful smile for the time you know you're forced to spend with them. The poison in your tail craves to be stung unto their heart every time you see their face because it becomes a sign of disgust for you, for eternity.
